Basic Electricity for Maintenance Personnel

Designed to introduce electrical theory and concepts, this training course includes the study of matter and how it relates to electron flow, as well as how voltage, ohms and amperes interrelate in electrical circuits. Course material covers the application and troubleshooting of electrical devices in a material handling system. Attendees learn how to read electrical schematics and use multimeters to measure voltage, current and resistance. Instructors emphasize safety and safe practices and may tailor the course to your particular needs.

Basic Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)

This training course is designed to provide an understanding of the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). The course will explain how to interface with various PLC technologies, understand applications, modify configurations, as well as basic programming and troubleshooting. Content focuses on Allen Bradley and Modicon systems. Additional topics include: basic input and outputs, PLC addressing, LED indications, monitoring the system, searching content, and more. A PLC demo kit is available for hands-on exercises and troubleshooting.

Belt Joining Training

Belt joining is a key maintenance procedure that can affect many aspects of a facility. This training course is designed to teach maintenance personnel the correct method of joining belts and technical tips on increasing the lives of the belt and lacing. The training includes mechanical lacing and thermal welding for both the standard and heavy-duty belts on IntelliQ® zero-pressure accumulation conveyors. Lacing equipment is provided for hands-on exercises.

This short safety training course is designed to provide an understanding of the OSHA standard on Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tagout) 29 CFR 1910.147. Instructors introduce key components of the standard and criteria for establishing an LOTO program and tailor the course to your location and staff needs.

Control System Operation, Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Give your maintenance team an understanding of the operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of controls used for material handling systems. This training course includes information on network, I/O, electrical devices, and all control functionality and operator screens. Instructors tailor training to the controls product type, such as InControlWare®, BOSS®, PLC, etc. This course does not include mechanical maintenance or procedures.

ICampus — E-Learning System

Honeywell Intelligrated’s ICampus is an online training portal that lets you manage your workforce’s training efforts and progress. Created by OSHA-authorized and PMMI-certified trainers, the courses are designed for maximum comprehension and retention and are an integral part of a blended learning strategy. ICampus can be used to train operators, maintenance personnel and new hires. It can also be used for safety, general maintenance and refresher training.

Students can complete ICampus courses to gain baseline knowledge prior to instructor-led sessions. Reviewing the courses before and after the instructor-led sessions will help increase content retention and provide a reference when needed. A well-trained workforce is a safer and more productive workforce.

More than 300 courses are now available, which include Honeywell Intelligrated product-specific modules, as well as safety and maintenance fundamentals. More courses are added every month.
