Steve Ackerman has over 28 years of experience in the automated material handling industry. Over a decade of this experience has been in an executive management role for FKI Logistex or one of its companies.

Steve joined the industry in 1981 with Mathews Conveyor Company and served in various North American sales management roles. In 1994, he joined Alvey® Systems Inc., a Pinnacle Automation Company, and became Vice President of Integrated Systems. A leading supplier of supply chain solutions, Pinnacle included four subsidiaries: Alvey Systems, Inc, The Buschman Company, Real Time Solutions; and White Systems, Inc.

In 2000, Pinnacle Automation was purchased by FKI Logistex and Steve was selected to serve as President of FKI Logistex Alvey Systems. In 2004, Steve transitioned to lead the company’s entire U.S., Canada and Mexico operations as President of FKI Logistex North America.

Active in the industry, Steve is a member of the Material Handling Industry of America’s (MHIA) Roundtable of Industry Leaders.

Steve has a Bachelor of Engineering Science (Mechanical) from the University of Western Ontario and has completed various graduate business management and finance courses at Sir Sanford Flemming College.

While Steve is a native of Ontario, Canada, he and his wife Susan currently reside in St. Louis, Missouri.
