Chris Cole (CEO) and Jim McCarthy (President and COO) founded Intelligrated in 2001 following the sale of their former company, Pinnacle Automation and its subsidiary brands Alvey®, Buschman®, Mathews®, Real Time Solutions® and White Systems, to British-based engineering conglomerate FKI plc.
Intelligrated started with 17 employees, and by the end of 2001 had about 50 associates on its payroll. In 2002, the rapidly growing company acquired the Versa Conveyor product line and other assets from Conveyors Ltd., opened a new manufacturing facility in London, OH and built its current corporate headquarters in Mason, OH. At the same time, Intelligrated began to establish field operations to service local regional markets starting with the Southern region of the United States. By December 2003, Intelligrated had opened its second field operation in the Eastern region of the country, and by 2005 the company had established additional operations in the Midwest and Southwest regions. By the end of 2008, Intelligrated had grown to over 500 associates.
Today, Intelligrated is a leading, American-owned automated material handling solutions provider which focuses on providing its customers with comprehensive, full-service solutions. The company enhanced these capabilities and grew to over 1500 associates with its purchase of FKI Logistex operations in North and South America in June 2009. This acquisition also expanded Intelligrated’s product line to include Alvey palletizers, Real Time Solutions order fulfillment systems, and Crisplant® tilt-tray and cross-belt sorters.
Intelligrated serves the warehousing, distribution, postal, parcel and consumer goods manufacturing markets, and is headquartered in Mason, Ohio, a northern suburb of Cincinnati. The company has field operations in 10 U.S. states, manufacturing plants in Ohio, Missouri and Kentucky, key systems operations in California, Maryland and Missouri, and sizeable operations in Canada and Mexico.
